YUMINST successfully develops a reusable flexible liquid detection sensor and 32-channel integrated controller

YUMINST has developed a reusable chemical solution leak detection sensor and announced its commercial release on the 22nd.

Existing sensors can only be used once because they are designed so that the coating layer of the circuit comes into contact with any leak to trigger an alarm.

YUMINST’s new sensor is reusable because it uses a copper sensing circuit with excellent electrical characteristics and polymid (PI) material film with excellent chemical resistance.

A modular 32-channel integrated controller that includes a control unit and display unit can be linked to the sensors. A motherboard-type expandable controller integrates eight different controllers for water leaks, oil leaks, and chemical leaks. Ease-of-installation has been improved.

With amendments made to the Chemical Substances Control Act last year, such as the including o the “Three-Strikes-Out System’, to prevent chemical leaks and minimize harm to workers, the demand for water and oil leak sensors is also increasing.

Samsung Semiconductor, Samsung Display, Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, LG Electronics, LG Chem, LG Display, SK Hynix, and Lotte Chemical are currently using YUMINST's sensors.

CEO Kim Dong-hwan of YUMINST said, “Based on the technology we have accumulated in making flexible liquid detection sensors for over 10 years, we are developing products that are easy to use and install. We also consider the environment and human factor. We will minimize hazardous chemical leaks by providing total solutions in monitoring and disaster prevention, contributing to the nation and industry. I look forward to playing a part in this development.”

YUMINST's flexible detection sensor is a special sensor film that can detect different types of hazardous chemicals as required by clients. Original patents have been registered in Korea, Japan, the United States, China, and EU countries.
